Well done girls, keep up your excellent efforts in the next few weeks!
We would also like to congratulate Nicola, Khanyo and Bronwyn for completing their music exams on Friday - it sounds like all three of them went very well. Tabitha also completed her ballet exam a little while ago and she received her certificate in assembly this morning - well done Tabitha!
It was a very warm day today! I think the weather symbols would have shown sunshine all day. I think the whole week is going to be a warm one girls, so please bring a water bottle to school so that you can drink lots during the day. It is also not necessary to be wrapped up in jerseys and blazers anymore!
Due to the stuffy air in the classroom, and given that we are learning about Ancient Greek education, we decided to sit outside under the trees for our History lesson today...just like the Ancient Greeks would have done. We travelled back in time and tried to imagine what it would have been like to learn the way the Greeks did. I think everybody was feeling glad to have been born a girl in this day and age rather than a girl in Ancient Sparta! I look forward to reading your letters to or from Nicolaus or Nicci...they should show just how things have changed since then.
Have a lovely afternoon. Stay cool and work hard on those oral presentations. See you tomorrow!
iT WAS A SLEEPY DAY FOR ME HASEENA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou teachers may feel you are lucky, but the truth is the Rustybug girls are SOOO lucky to have with-it teachers who seem to make learning
ReplyDeletesuch fun!! Fifty years ago when I was at RGJS the teachers were old and strict and boring!!!! Thank you Miss N for all the effort you put into making the work so interesting - I even find helping with homework fun!
I couldn't agree more (with "Granny's comment")... You're absolutely amazing, Miss N - we're all loving the blog and so impressed with your dedication and ability to make school and learning so much more fun than it normally is. Thank you... Bridget
