Good Morning on this chilly Monday!
I hope you all had a great weekend. It was a good one for all the Western Province rugby fans (Mrs Dallas must have been thrilled) and Saturday was such a beautiful summer's day!
There are a few things to be said this morning:
Firstly, welcome back to Ashleigh. She has been in Australia for the last three weeks so we have missed her in the classroom. It sounds like she and her family had a fantastic trip, but we are glad to have her back.
Secondly, we are on flower duty this week so any bunches of flowers will be much appreciated - flowers always make our school look so cheerful and colourful. Thank you to those of you who remembered this morning!
Thirdly, CONGRATULATIONS are in order for the following girls:
Week 1 Class Awards:
Little Miss Sunshine - Tabitha
(for being very cheerful during our first week back at school)
Little Miss Diligent - Aaliyah & Amy
(excellent approach to their work during the week)
Little Miss Creative - Lauren, Kristeen & Aaliyah
(for super Market Day adverts)
Little Miss Manners - Haseena
(for cheerful greetings every day and always using the magic words)
Little Miss Pride - Sadie
(beautifully presented work, tidy desk and neatly dressed)
Little Miss Organised - Jasmine
(impressive effort to be more organised during the first week back)
Little Miss Perseverence - Neeta
(for asking good questions, participating in all class dicussions and for trying her best in all her work)
Well done to these girls, keep up your excellent efforts!
Karate Championships:
Seanne took part in the S.A. Karate Championships in Durban last weekend. She participated in the girls U12 age group in two different events and she received a silver medal in the Kata event and a gold medal in the Fighting event. Well done Seanne, now we know not to mess with you!
Welcome to Grade 5B!
This blog is a glimpse into the life of Grade 5B. Although this is our last term together, we will be regularly updating our blog and sharing insightful, strange, humorous and (most importantly) educational highlights with our friends and families.
The fourth term is often the busiest with exams, award ceremonies and final preparations for Grade 6, but it is also always the most fun! So sit back, relax and enjoy reading all about the adventures of Grade 5B!
